Lily’s Approach

4 pillars

In her journey with metastatic pancreatic cancer, Lily inspired thousands of people. She and her family founded LuvFromLily to communicate more broadly and to support all people facing adversity. In her memory we aim to inspire and inform through her four simple LuvFromLily principles:

Love and Positivity

Faith and Spirituality

Owning your Journey

Gratitude and Giving

Love and Positivity

Connectedness to others is the purpose of life. Lily forged amazing connections with family, friends, caretakers, experts, community members, and many others as she dealt with adversity. Try it, yourself. Be vulnerable. Invite your friends and family to join your journey, with all its ups and downs, and you will be amazed by what Love and Positivity can do to support you.

Faith and Spirituality

There is an energy in the world that is full of goodness, light and peace. Lily tapped into this by trusting that God will hold her in his hand and care for her body and soul. You can do this, too—you don’t need to believe in organized religion or one specific God. You need only to commit to this—be mindful, be present, and dedicate time to connect with your spiritual self.

Owning your Journey

Everyone’s health journey has many parts to it, including holistic, integrated, traditional and alternative types of medicine. Lily owned her journey with the adversity of cancer by pursuing all of these avenues of medicine and health. You know yourself better than others. Every day, seek a method to give yourself a wellness advantage, no matter how big or small.

Gratitude and Giving

Every day is a wonderful blessing that must be lived to its fullest. Lily treated her world with this “many blessings” attitude, and people around her responded to it, describing her as having a mystically strong-yet-serene presence! Feeling and expressing gratitude for what you have instead of what you want allows peace to enter each day. By giving to others as a habit, you habitually transfer life’s many gifts to your community.
